A working multiplayer tag game. All it needs is working netcode and a console (text input/buffer) system and we're good to go. Hopefully one day to be upgraded to work on the map engine with actual sprites (a la SeekTag).

A wargame based on a game I played with a friend with a tablecloth, measuring tape and some dice. Oh, also lots of little cardboard squares with little knights and soldiers and castles. Pure bliss! This is going to be no more complex than that as it's just meant to be a bit of coding practice for me. Hopefully networked.

The Real Life version:
| You will need: | Two six-sided dice,
|
| How to play: | 1. Lay out your sheet of graph paper on a table or just use the table and a ruler. 2. Add one Infantry to any of your Castles and one Cavalry to a Manor. roll both dice to decide movement distance. Move all your soldiers, cavalry can travel 1.5x the number on the dice. 3. Attack phase - if any of your soldiers are touching enemy soldiers they must battle. Each player rolls a dice; highest number wins. For Infantry vs. Cavalry, +1 to the Cavalry's roll. For Infantry vs. General, +2 to the General. For Cavalry vs. General, +1 to the General. 4. Four Infantry can occupy each castle and attack enemies on adjacent squares (within 1cm) using a dice. Rolling a 5 or 6 will kill an adjacent enemy instantly. You get one roll for each Infantry inside the castle. Enemies lay siege to a castle by surrounding it on all sides. Rolling a 5 or 6 will kill one Infantry in the castle. One roll for each soldier touching the castle. An empty castle is captured when surrounded on all sides, switch colour to the capturing country. If a castle is under siege on all sides for more than five turns, all enemies inside die. 5. Churches can be used as sanctuary for your side but they can easily be burned by enemies if left unprotected. The same goes for manors and farms. Bridges can be burned by you or your enemy. 6. If a General is attacked and loses, they are captured by the Infantry or Cavalry that defeated them. That soldier must attempt to get the enemy General to their nearest castle to have him executed. Movement is compromised by 1cm. If your General is captured, you must begin the chase and defeat his captor. 7. The game ends and you LOSE when: all your castles are captured OR all your farms have been to the ground OR your General is executed.
