Overview
A space adventure / RPG game where you are a lowly pilot who gets caught in an intergalactic mess.
The story goes as follows: Warning: PLOT SPOILER
Part 1:
You are an ordinary typical man (or woman), aimed to create a great career in outer space, hopefully as a merchant, taxi, or fighter pilot. The game itself is aimed to be completely open-ended, there are several factions the player can join. Each faction will at one point converge whether you are a fighter pilot or merchant, conversely every action you do will also change this outcome. You make the bandit faction angry, there will be more opportunities for them to gun you down in dead space.
The intergalactic radio station, which can be heard practically from anywhere due big "buoys" relaying the message to any ship within proximity of them. The player eventually realizes that there is more going on than there seems. Not all is perfect in space.
A faction once owned by Enigma Weapons, bought by Omega Industries, abandoned and finally left to live at the far reaches of space started to conduct experiments to create a weapon that creates so much force - that it uses a black hole to create vibrations to hit the natural frequency of every piece of matter within the radius of the "buoys" that also transmit the radio station, Intergalactic Radio. Every planet, space ship and asteroid within the radius of the buoys would get annihilated.
Part 2:
Also it turns out that as you progress further in your, what would become a very excellent career, documents are forged that has your name on it stating you are the lead scientist within this unknown faction. This puts a price on your head. You are forced to start at square 1, your ship might even be taken away and your possessions seized unless you go renegade, or were already renegade. This forces a moral choice upon the player.
If the player decides to become renegade, the story will eventually pan out to you becoming the scientist that destroys everything. (As a merchant the story will open up to more illegal transactions that can get you some big bucks, but the risks could be greater than the rewards...) This continues until a conscious decision is made in the end.
If the player decides to become a hero, they start at square 1. At one point the player would create a coalition of militia and... certain... political allies, the player comes to face the unknown faction head on in a giant battle. The player will end up being a hero, until a conscious decision in the end is made. Also, if the player does not become renegade, they will go to a court of law. Depending on what the player says during the trials, they may be sentenced to death, many years in federal prison, or relieved from whatever duty that they were doing. The player might even suspect that a certain chancellor had those documents forged - because of the players involvement in society and the players problem solving ability.
There was more to the story than the character anticipates, and depending on your alignment with society, there will be a conscious decision in the end which could end up vastly changing the players role in humanity...
Part 3
The conscious decision the player makes at the last part, is quite simply this: The player can choose to either save the Milky Way Galaxy by destroying the Andromeda Galaxy (somehow rerouting the energy and targeting at a different galaxy through a vortex theory). Or destroy the Milky Way Galaxy as the player gets a free ride to the Andromeda Galaxy where they start anew.
The "Good" choice is being the hero of the Milky Way. But this can pout a crime against the universe on the players head for destroying another Galaxy. The player go to trial again, and depending on how the player answers will affect the outcome.
As a renegade, the player may choose to screw the Milky Way Galaxy, putting an end to their warrants for arrest and crimes they have committed and starting anew in the Andromeda Galaxy.
If the player stays within the Milky Way Galaxy, Omega Industries will eventually find a way to open a portal to the Pegasus Galaxy. It is the homeland to the people who brought much knowledge to the Enigma Weapons company. The player can choose to go with them to help solve some conflicts within their solar system in that galaxy. The problem is small and trivial, this is where the game ends.
No one player can visit all three galaxies at the same time, therefore there is replay value in accordance to this. Furthermore the game never truly ends. The player is left with a new Galaxy to explore and new people to meet. A future expansion pack may have something to do with this galaxy, but for now it ends how it started. Freedom at last.
Enigma Weapons
This weapons creating company creates the most exotic and bizarre weapons that humanity has ever seen. This company has connections with... certain... people that trade technology for protection. So long as Enigma Weapons can supply a chain of planets to that faction, they will receive bundles of vast technological intelligence.
This weapons company supplies all of the federation ships with great weaponry... However they are capable of dealing stronger weapons in the black market to certain unknown factions that live at the edges of the galaxy.
The company gets it's name due to the weapons it produces. They are beyond current technological scope, therefore owing to the name of Enigmatic Weaponry.
Omega Industries
Omega Industries strives to create the fastest and most versatile spacecraft that ever sailed the solar winds. They are a partnership of Enigma Weapons to create weapons for their state-of-the-art gunboats and frigates. This company has also unlocked certain secrets pertaining to hyperspace travel due to Enigma Weapons technological prowess. They have ships that open holes in the space-time continuum, creating vortex's that ultimately spew the traveler to certain solar systems. Early attempts of installing the technology was fatal until one of the members of a hidden faction that supplies Enigma weapons with their technology decided to give a great helping hand.
Omega Industries since then has pioneered in the space craft industry, monopolizing every other spacecraft company. The only other companies that exist are specialized companies that create custom starships usually for decorative purpose, unless one were to come by with vast amounts of money.
