There are just a few editing guidelines for this wiki. Please adhere to them to make it easier to use for everyone. Putting pages into categories is done simply by placing Category:category (surrounded by [[]]) at the start.

For info on how to make/edit pages themselves, go to Help:Howto.

Sphere Documentation

The headquarters of anyone working on the SDP team is right at Sphere Documentation Project, feel free to discuss anything there through the Talk page, keeping the main page free for news on new pages etc.

Any pages belonging specifically to the SDP that aren't Sphere documentation should be given the prefix SDP:

I leave the design of the sphere documentation to the SDP team but at the moment an index of Sphere functions is found at Functions. They do not have to be prefixed, but underscores and letter case need to be preserved. Remember to place them in the Function category!

Tutorials should be placed in the tutorial category. An index will be at Tutorials. Tutorials shouldn't be prefixed I don't think.

See Talk page.

Functions

When creating an engine function page for the first time, just use {{subst:functemp}} and hit save. Then edit the page again and just fill in the blanks.

Examples should be simple and have a general overview of what they achieve outside the code. For longer examples, comments in the code are acceptable. Keep another function page open in another browser tab or window if it helps.

User Pages

Each user has their own page to do whatever they like with at User:you... oh wait, no dirty pictures and such. Please no swearing or discriminating against peoples religious beliefs or skin color. Thank you.

Game Pages

Each game is allowed a single page, to be edited at will. Make sure they are put in the category Games, by typing [[Category:Games]] somewhere in it.

Tutorial Pages

Each tutorial is allowed a single page, to be edited at will. Make sure they are put in the category Tutorials, by typing [[Category:Tutorials]] somewhere in it.

Uploading Files

Images can be uploaded to the wiki and stored here. Don't upload copyrighted images without permission. All users should place username_ in front of the image filename before uploading. Yes, so the cops can trace it back to you. We'll know who uploaded it anyway, but just to make it clear.
