This is the main page of the graphics department of the Sphere Community Game.

The overall size of the game is at a resolution of 640 by 480 pixels.

Contents

Spritesets

  • They will be 32*64 pixels
  • The movement goes as follows:
    • For every direction north,south,east,west there are 4 animated frames
    • If you decide to stop for that direction, you'll go to a stop frame.
  • The obstruction base is 32*16.
  • Diagonal movement will be the same directional movement.

Map Tiles

  • Will be 16*16 in size.
  • All maps will use external tilesets rts.
  • Tiles may be added, and modified, but not removed or you could break a map.
  • Each continent will have a different tileset to ensure a different 'feel'.


TODO

  • Finish up house tiles (actually, commit to SVN)
  • Need broken sphere world tiles.

Daniels House

This is a first image of Daniels room. It will be updated with time. Please go to the Forums if you have ideas or suggestions for later versions.

Planned details in future versions: Doorway shadow. Stray clothing on floor.

Mapping

  • Overworld maps must be multiples of a full screen: 40 tiles wide x 30 tiles high (640x480 pixels)
  • Maps must be bigger or equal to this size in order to fill up the screen.
  • If you need new tiles in your map: update the main tileset, carefully. Try to keep your tiles together in blocks.
