Sphere Community Game

The Sphere Community Game (Sphere CG for short) is a project by several members of the Spherical community to show off to new users what you're able to do with Sphere.

The game is still under construction, but you can read the project charter for some idea on how the project is going to progress.

Departments

The team is divided into departments; each focuses on a certain aspect of the game.

Subversion repository

To grab a copy of the game, use a Subversion client to checkout from svn://spheredev.org/scg/trunk. With the command line client, type this:

svn co svn://spheredev.org/scg/trunk sphere_cg

The game will be stored in a new directory named sphere_cg/, under your current directory. You will need Sphere to play the game itself.

The story

There's this person who played a Sphere game who decides that he wants to make a Sphere RPG too. So he downloads the program... and gets sucked into the computer.

He finds himself in an empty world. When he walks around a bit he finds someone who tells him the situation, that the Sphere world is dying due to unknown forces!

The goal for the player is then to travel to all contents related to game creation (art, music, scripting continents etcetera). The further he finishes his quests and side quests in the game, the more and better the graphics, music etcetera (depending on the continent) become.

Finally, he will open the secret continent to confront what evils are destroying the Sphere world... (At the moment, this could be anything, from default evil person to the lack of Sphere being used in the real world.)
