Deltastar is a sonic fangame created by Jesse “Joat” Hammond (me). Or, rather, it will be, for I have hardly started.

Current Version (V0.1, prototype)

This version includes a basic battle system. As yet, the ATTACK command is the only one available, but others will be added in later versions.

Plot

Since I haven’t really started creating the game itself and since I hardly know the meaning of “outline”, the plot is ill-defined. I plan for it to involve multiple dimensions and a whole bunch of characters. The main character will be Elliot, who comes across another dimension during his line of work.

Bone Squad

JOHN ELLIOT: Dog warrior. Goes by his last name. Elliot is the leader of the Bone Squad, an archeological company in Station Square. His business rival is PASS. He is fairly easy-going, but when he’s angry, head for the hills. Due to his size and young-sounding voice, he is often mistaken for a puppy. He is weak when it comes to brute force, but when combinations (team moves, basically) are introduced, he will have more than any other character.

DURIN RODRIGUEZ: Human warrior. He is the son of a member of a gang, but is not in the gang himself, despite what his leather jacket and spiked hair may lead you to believe. He is security for PASS. He tends to take measures to prtect his hair. Since he is related to a member of his father’s gang, he is hated by the Raven Gang, a rival of his father’s gang. The Raven Gang already took Durin’s brother’s life.

EMILIA WINN: Cat scientist. She may not be strong, but she has a great gift when it comes to machines and hacking. She is the technology manager in the Bone Squad. She tends to be calm under most situations and often has her eyes on her laptop. She can type up to 134WPM on her worst day. On her best, somewhere around 160WPM.

SUZY HATCHET: Fox. Her class is, as yet, undetermined. She tends to be shy and timid at times. She is the financial manager for the Bone Squad.

JOSEPH DOUGLASS: Human. His class is, as yet, undetermined. He tends to be very calm and has a world-class poker face. He is the advertising manager for the Bone Squad.


PASS (Professional Archeologists of Station Square)

The members are undetermined.


Raven Gang

The members are undetermined.


Others

PSI/BLACKLIGHTNING: Wolf psychic. Blacklightning used to be a human, but due to certain… unusual circumstances, he now shares a body with Psi. They have potent psychic powers, which are their key advantage in combat.

XION: A being from another dimension. That is all I will say for now, for anything else would be a huge spoiler.

The Main Screen

This is a screenshot of the main screen (I’ll spice it up later). As you can see, Battle Test (which will be removed eventually in later versions) is the only option that is available.

Battle system

This is an RPG, so it has a traditional RPG battle system. In later versions, I will, no doubt, create something to make it stand out. As said earlier, the only command that is currently available is ATTACK. The game does have a wait bar, the thing that must charge up before a person is able to do anything. There is a 10% chance of a critical hit. Hit chance is based on AIM (attacker) and AGIlity (defender); damage is based on ATtacK (attacker) and DEFense (defender); and how fast the wait bar charges up depends on SPeeD. HP is based on WILlpower.
