Darness Falls Softly
Darkness Falls Softly is a series of RPG games being created by Navigatorblack. They follow the story of Edward of the Black Hand, known to the world as Eddie Black, and his journeys through the multiverse in an attempt to confront an enemy from beyond the borders of reality.
Chapter One
Episode One: Goodbye to Sol
In this episode, Eddie finds out that he is in fact the Avatar of Time, and must discover (along with the Avatars of Death, Magic, and Life) what caused the Earth to explode minutes after they left it.
Episode Two: Where have all the bullets gone
After the events of the first game, Eddie and his compatriats must now head across to another sector of the galaxy, to a solar system where things keep popping in and out of reality. It is here that they first come across the main enemies.
Episode Three: Tying knots with string theory
Chasing their enemies, Eddie and his crew slip through the aether between universes as they draw ever closer to the one they need to stop.
Episode Four: Well, that about wraps it up for God
As their enemy changes tactics and sets about trying to remove the multiverse from existence, Eddie and crew fight to slow down and stop his operations.
Episode Five: Endgame
The final episode in this chapter, Eddie and co. finally face the reality behind the enemy that they are facing, and must finally choose to fight against or fight with those who linger in the shadows of reality.
Gameplay
The game plays much like any other computer RPG, where you use the arrow keys to move in a 3/4 overhead perspective, talk to people, trigger events and take part in combat.
Controls
* Cursor keys are used to move around on maps, and change menu selections. * X advances dialogue, talks to people, triggers events and chooses menu items. * Enter raises the main menu, from which the party status can be viewed and options selected. * Escape raises a menu from which the game can be restarted or quit. * Shift can be held down to run. * Z can be used to skip through dialogue and to escape from the menu.
Episode Guide
The games are in the construction phase at the moment, but fear not weary travellers; they will be finished within a reasonable timeframe.
