Aside from the main branch of Sphere, some members are also working on other functions to accomplish new abilities and speed up common functions by migrating them into Sphere itself. As these are still in testing, they have not been implemented into Sphere's main system yet and are continuously undergoing changes.

Using and Testing

Each Unofficial Engine Function listed here belongs to a branch of the main engine, built by a developer. In order to test or use them, you will need to download a new engine. Check the individual branches for how to get them. Remember, as development versions, these engines will probably be updated often.

Warning

The functions are experimental and may not produce results expected. If this happens, please contact the branch author with the details to help fix the bug.

These are for testing only. Games developed with unofficial engines will usually not run on the official engine. Feel free to try them if you're interested in new functionality and developing sphere, but don't use them in your games just yet. If a function is sent to the official engine, only then can it be safely used in real games.
