- In preparation for the release of Sphere 1.4, release candidates are now available. Try Sphere 1.4 before it's officially released!
19 January
- Sphere 1.4 has been released! This new version boasts many engine and editor improvements.
27 March
- Thanks to the combined efforts of Rhuan, Kyuu, and NeoLogiX, Sphere now has fully working Mac OS X builds! Minimum version of Mac OS X required is Tiger 10.4.11, and we are currently looking for Leopard testers.
25 June
- Sphere 1.5 RC1 is available now. It offers lots of improvements over previous versions, including the new SoundEffect object, multiple languages, full Linux and Mac OS X support, and better person drawing control. See the forum discussion.
28 June
- Sphere 1.5 RC2 builds upon 1.5 RC1, bringing new player controls and network code improvements for Linux and Mac OS X, plus a number of bug fixes.
7 July
- Sphere 1.5 RC3 is now out. The editor code boxes now use the Courier New font, and Linux networking now detects peer drop-outs, as well as the usual bug fixes.

- SDHawk's site is no longer up, so games like Zero's Impossible Fortress, Schatz-Jäger, In the Steps of the Blackfoot and other titles are no longer available. If you have copies or find mirrors, drop by the forums and let us know.

- Six of SDHawk's games have been mirrored, so they can be downloaded: 1kb Rogue, In the Steps of the Blackfoot, Jesus Christ Bunny-Rabbit Hunter, Schatz-Jäger, The Forgotten King and Zero's Impossible Fortress.
