- New year!
- One Hour Game Making Contest is on this Sunday! Make something damnit!
- Sphere Community Game is back in production.

- The One Hour Game Making Contest is over. Four out of nine games were Sphere titles. Good stuff!
21 January
- Summaries are being added to the Functions page. Hopefully, this should make it more useful to newbies and veterans alike.
- A Demo of Blockman will come out next month. Check the BlockMan page to find out how much progress has been made on it.

- New tutorials: Starting up Sphere, Configuring Sphere, Talking and text and Warping between maps, from the Sphere CHM.

- More tutorials: menus, networking, drawing the map, random text, objects, intros, battles.

- The Functions page has been restructured to promote exploratory doc browsing. More details in the talk page.
- New compo: Lilith's Enticement is a gothic/horror-themed RPG contest running through February. Register now!

- Functions: Less than 150 pages to go! Over half of the functions and objects have been documented, and we're well on the way to completing the other half.

- Sphere CG: A Subversion repository has been set up for development of this community effort. Thanks rjt!

- Games: A playable demo of BlockMan is now available.
- Sphere CG: Instructions for using Subversion with the project are now available. Aimed at newbies!

- Functions: 200 pages done! That's two-thirds of our work there complete!
- Jobs: A couple more added: SDHawk's games need wiki pages, and so do some of the old sphere.sf.net articles.

- Sphere:Latest: The "docs" folder was borked in the Sphere Windows binaries ZIP. A new ZIP containing the proper "docs" folder layout can now be downloaded. Extract it over the old one.

- An interesting discussion over at the forums; what do we want Sphere 2.0 to be? Keep in mind it may be years till it is released, that is... if ever. Discussion: Sphere 2.0

- The five-day RPG oh noes dragon!!1 has been released. Fight your way through plains, forests, and mountains to save a princess.

- Radnen has released his Halloween-themed tile-based game, Freddy Jack in SpookLand.

- Instructions are now available for compiling Sphere under Ubuntu Linux 7.10.

- Tutorials from the original sphere.sf.net website have been transferred here and wikified! They are found in the "Sphere/*" series.
