Well, it's here again, the greatest sporting spectacle of all time (except for the superbowl). As per usual New Zealands getting there buts kicked, no medals as of yet, (We're being beaten by Chile for gods sake, Chile!!!), but it can only get better, all of our rowers have qualified for the finals tommorrow, so hopefully, we'll do well there, but apart from that I can't see us do well in anything else, maybe the cycling. But what I really wanted to talk about was the Olympics, what do you think of them? In my opinion they're over-rated, the opening ceremonies more important than 1/2 the events and with all the drug scandels going on now, they're just not worth it, what do you think?

Personally I found it amazing that so many seats are empty, even when it takes place where the olympics started.

Agreed. The tickets for the opening ceremony cost more than many events, even though the actual sports ARE  the olympics.

Sounds formilliar, -everyone here-?  Tongue . Nah I hate the chauvinistic patriotistic side of the olympics, but it's great to see countries like muwlalakadiedosomething participate equally with france etc.
Personally I think they never should have dropped the part of hoplitodromos in 200 bc Tongue. Running around for 5 kilometres with 60 kilo's on is a real man's game, not some sissy hockey Wink  Cheesy

Anyway I haven't watched any yet because I don't like em Tongue
